I called Miway to cancel my policy on 26/04/2013. After holding on endlessly, I finally spoke to somebody whom I requested to cancel my policy. Was then put on hold again for a few minutes & then another consultant came on the line & tried to retain me. i was advised of a discounted premium due to my good claims history. What I was not advised was that there were additions to that discounted premium, like the policy fee, etc. Why was i not quoted the total premium? and only the basic premium. This is not acceptable. I tried calling today to cancel my policy with effect from 01/05/2013 and i am not amazed about the fact that i held on & on & on and could not get a hold of somebody. I do not want to leave a message. perhaps by logging this complaint I would get assistance in calling my policy with effect from 01/05/2013. I would like confirmation via e-mail that my policy has been cancelled & when the refund will be in my account. I do not want to deal with a company that I can never get through to.
