In the dark about Refund due to me

I had a personal loan with FNB which I settled via EFT from my absa cheque account on 12th April 2013. However they still deducted the full instament on 26th April. Since then I have phoned 4 times including today to the 0861404040 number and the 1st time I was asked to tell tem how much was the settlement amount I told them I was never given a settlement letter because when I went ot the bank to tell them I wanted to settle the loan I was told the fax machine was not working on the other side they are supposed to fax the letter from so it was written down on a paper. Since my initial call I was promised that the money would be refunded within 48hrs the second time I phoned I was told the whole thing was not captured and the account still not closed but after that it was done and was promised refund within 48hrs till this day. When i phoned today I was told to expect the money any day from today when I demanded written proof I was told that is not allowed and should expect the money within 5-10 working days. This is ridiculous service. Please help.
