After very heavy rain in the PE area last year we had some soil movement. The pool on the deep end tipped & the garden wall collapsed. Pls note this was not a retaining wall as stated in the Absa report. The expert fromCWB Adjusters they sent to us informed my wife and myself we wont have a problem with the claim as we were covered for the damage that was done & we could then empty the pool.which we duly did which then resulted in the pool popping out of the ground. We then waited almost two months for Absa insurance to come back to us & this was after many calls & e-mails, only to be told they are not going to honour the claim. As the report they received from the assessor advised them they don't have to. After getting a copy of the report i was shocked to see what was in their & what had actually happened. We then got a pool expert in who came & examined the pool who reported to us it was not paid out due to what was in the report given to Absa, But it should have been. But absa were not interested in listening to us. After paying insurance on two properties for the last 20 years & not having a claim like this i am very disappointed with Absa insurance response.
