MONEY FROM CLIENTS

I have cancelled my policy on 24 April 2013 with Dial Direct effective 31 May 2013. I dealt with Sakiwe and was told that I must give a month's notice, however when I asked where this information was stipulated in my policy document, I was informed somewhere under General Terms & Conditions, he does not know. I am sure all the calls are recorded an you can listen to our conversation. Not to make a fuss, I adhere to Dial Directs made up as we go terms & conditions and gave the month notice. Yet another month of expensive insurance to pay, but who cares it is not their money...

Yesterday, 8 May 2013 I traded my MINI Cooper Countryman in for a new 2013 model.

Today, 9 May 2013 contacted your offices to take the MINI off from the policy. I dealt with Jamie and was told that the MINI will be cancelled end of the month and that they cannot refund pro-rate of my premium of R831! This is blatant money from your clients. I just want to know why should I pay for a car that is no longer in my possession? Proof of the new purchase can be submitted on request.

It makes one wonder why your were insured at Dial Direct for the past few years if this is the treatment and service
