I applied for car finance with Wesbank. The response time was fair. When I originally asked for the interest rate, it was given at prime 1 fixed for the 36 month application. The car checks had to be done and when the final agreement was discussed, the interest rate shot up to prime 2.25. This is ridiculous. The reason being, my applied term was 60 months. If this is the case, I must have selected the wrong one and it's my bad, as I would never even consider such a long term. But still, even if the original term was 60 months, I am very unhappy with Wesbank's service and see no reason for the interest rate to fluctuate like this with the term.
