In 2006 I opened a Go banking account with Pick n Pay because the charges were so fantastically low. Now seven years later Pick n Pay has pulled their support plug on go banking and handed it back to Nedbank who in their infinite wisdom refuse to answer the questions I have raised pertaining to a miscellaneous "maintenance fee" of R16.00 per month on my account. I got a curt e-mail from them"

"Please note that the type of an account you have there's a maintenance fee in order to keep the charges in a minimum
Please view the fee structure of your account above ."

As the agreement signed with Go-banking stated that my minimum balance would be R50.00 I don't see why I should be penalised for not having R5 000 in my account. I don't know many people who can afford to have R5000 lying around in a useless bank account.
If there was a halfway decent bank in South Africa that didn't their customer's money I would use them. But I only use the bank account for the debit orders as required by the insurance company.
Maybe writing on this forum will get Nedbank to answer customer queries instead of ignoring them.
