Bizarre Banking Practice

On 2013-5 08 I tried to access my Standard Bank Account via internet banking, only to be informed that my details were wrong. Tried again, very carefully this time, with the same result. Phoned the customer care centre and was told the following: Since my credit card was within a month of it's expiry date a new card was ordered for me. From the moment the new card was ordered it superseded the old with the result that now my logon details were invalid. The ETA for the new card is 14 days, so presumably no banking till then.

Tried to reset password and CSP using card number and ATM pin but these also invalid.

I was never informed of this problem.

It is stressful and inconvenient.

At times it must prove extremely embarrassing to Standard Bank clients.
