Thanks - Perush from FNB Parktown called me back, and she was lovely and kind, but unfortunately, did not give me the satisfactory answer I was looking for. Apparently, I have been declined as I exceed my current overdraft every month. How, I do not understand; as far as I know, I can only swipe when I have money in my account [and only do swipe when I know I have funds, as I do not want to be declined at the till!! ]. So, it turns out that when I swipe under the impression I have funds, the debit only goes through much, much later, to the extent that it shows me in a negative, eventually. In other words, the bank allows me "money I don't have" - when I didn't ask for this money - but now, when I do ask for money, its tells me that I can't have money that I ask for, because they gave me money when I didn't ask for it. So, now, I am being penalised for their systems and procedures? WHAT A LOAD OF BS. You still have not resolved my problem - which I require an overdraft, and a customer with an otherwise outstanding credit profile, you as my bank won't give it to me. Instead, you have told me how you caused my problem (that I won't qualify for an overdraft at your bank).
