I've called in three times now to get a quote from Outsurance on seeing the bold claim of paying me R400 if they cant beat my current insurer.
On the first occasion, outsurance couldn't beat my current insurer on my then vehicle. I asked about the R400 and I was told that a fully comprehensive insurance from Outsurance was not comparable to a fully comprehensive insurance from MiWay and so I was not entitled to the R400!?!?
The second time I tried to get a quote on my new car and donate the funds to the Movember charity. Because I was previously insured through outsurance they told me a certain period of time had to have passed before I could claim the R400 to be donated to the Movember charity.
The third time was today. Lo and behold outsurance gave me a quotation of a R1000 more than my current insurer. No kidding here folks. They said they would send a link to claim the R400 and alas the link never arrived. An sms did with a code but no link.
So is this just a cheap or what. I've always liked Outsurance but this is really damaging the reputation of your company. It actually looks like something that needs to be reported to the Advertising Standards Authority
