Standard Bank
Taking advantage of rural

It is with utter disgust when one always see rural people being taking advantage of by providing poor service and incompetent staff who are just there to appear as if they are better than the rest (the rest being the so called 'clients').
I walked in to this branch to fax the death certificate and other documents as my late brother was the Bank's client. The queue was fairly long so my first attempt was to find if I am in the right queue, and I was directed to Enquiries. I stood there for about 30 minutes and witnessed Tellers rudely telling old folks to 'not use the phone' and pushing them from pillar to post. There was not even a single personel on the floor to help these folks (most of them can't even read nor write'. People were queuing just to get deposit and withdrawal slips from the tellers (I don't know what's the reason behind that, as those are supposed to be readily available for clients).
All in all, I too became a victim of this chaotic Spaza Shop. When I got to the Teller the first thing she told me was "We don't do faxing in the Bank". I pushed her to understand the service I wanted, then she just told me I am in a wrong queue.
I am livid, wasted so much time and no help.
