Dealing with Absa has been the thorn in my side! I have had numerous conversations/emails and follow ups with one of their employees at an Absa Branch in Cape town and continuously following up approximately 25 emails from May last year to close my savings account and sort out my overdraft as well as lower banking fees. After many calls and nagging i was eventually promised a lower package by this consultant and promised on email that he will help me sort out my banking issues. Which to this date still has not taken place! I am paying on average R600 banking fees.
I am at the point, desperate to move to another bank that can give me service, seeing that i have been with Absa for over 10 years counts for nothing. As a last resort i sent a query on the 25 Feb via the Banking online service (i want to know more) to see how they could assist me and have received a response 2 MONTHS later telling me they experiencing high volumes of emails and i should re send my inquiry. What an absolute Joke!
