Repudiated claim

I accidentally damaged my R3500 laptop. I lodged a claim because my policy states that own damage or loss to portable items up to R3900 is covered with a payment of R550 excess. The agent placed the claim under content cover with an R850 excess payable if claim successful. They repudiated the claim. I summarily cancelled with them.
