I was attracted to a voucher I saw on Groupon for Govcon, a business which offers anti-smash and grab tint. It stated that it will cost either R995 or R1200 (depending on the vehicle size) to have anti-smash and grab tint installed to four windows of my vehicle. If I want to include the rear window it will cost an extra R350 in accordance with a quote Govcon had sent me.
Govcon also quoted me R1250 to apply anti-smash and grab tint to ALL the windows of my car.
This means that it will be cheaper to carry out this service on the regular price than with the Groupon voucher?!
The voucher is advertised as being 50% off. When I tried querying this with the business itself, my emails went unanswered.
The purpose of this complaint is to make Groupon aware of the discrpepancy between what they advertise and what is offered. And also to encourage consumers to properly research what they're purchasing on the Groupon and like sites.
